Job Description Job Description The CNC Cabinet Manufacturing Technician plays a crucial role in producing custom cabinetry by operating and setting up CNC machinery and related shop tools. This technician ensures that cabinet components are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and meet quality standards according to shop drawings and production schedules. Ideal candidates bring experience in cabinet manufacturing, possess strong skills in machining processes, and excel in precision, organization, and team collaboration within a small team environment.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC machinery for cabinet and millwork production
Set up machines, tooling, and materials for each job
Read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and production documents
Load, unload, and label cabinet parts accurately
Inspect finished components for quality, sizing, and accuracy
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
Troubleshoot minor machine, tooling, or programming issues
Maintain production flow to meet deadlines and shop priorities
Perform regular machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance
Follow shop safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Assist with assembly support, packaging, and production coordination
Communicate with management and team members regarding delays or material shortages
Help organize and track materials, parts, and completed jobs
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years in cabinet manufacturing
Experience with CNC machine operation
Proficient in blueprint and shop drawing reading
Knowledge of cabinetry manufacturing and machining processes
Skills in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
Familiarity with material handling best practices
