Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Setup Technician to join our team in Cookeville, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading, and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, multi-axis)
Install tooling, fixturing, and work holding per job specifications
Perform machining operations including milling, turning, drilling, tapping, and grinding
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job travelers
Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Document setups, tool changes, and production adjustments
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes
Qualifications
2+ years of CNC setup experience (mills, lathes, or multi-axis)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience with CNC programming and editing (G-code preferred)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience using precision measuring tools
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with tight-tolerance machining
Troubleshoot machine issues and resolve production problems quickly
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
