CNC Machinist - 1st ShiftWaupaca, WI (Fox Valley, west of Appleton) | Full-time, direct hireSchedule: 7:00am to 3:30pmStarting Pay: $23 to $28/hour depending on experienceAbout The OpportunityA family-owned component machining and fabrication shop in Waupaca, part of a larger Wisconsin contract manufacturing group, is adding a CNC Machinist to its 1st shift milling department. You will set up, program at the control, and run a wide mix of CNC equipment on precision work to print. Reports to the Production Supervisor.What You Will Do- Set tooling and work holding, and program at the machine control on 5-axis, vertical and horizontal mills, lathes, waterjets and horizontal saws- Read and apply shop orders, drawings and instructions to produce parts to spec- Check parts with precision measuring tools and keep paper and electronic records- Handle basic machine upkeep and keep a clean, safe, organized work area- Work as a team and take part in department improvement projectsWhat You Need- 2+ years of CNC setup and programming experience- Able to read and interpret drawings, choose the right tooling and work holding, and verify conformance with inspection equipment- Strong math and measuring skills- Dependable attendance and good communication- Preferred, not required: Mazak programming and advanced GD&TMaterialsCarbon, stainless and alloy steel, cast iron, aluminum, bronze, brass, copperBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid holidays, vacation, 401(k) with employer match up to 4%Work Environment- Loud noise, moving parts and varying temperatures; PPE required- Standing for extended periods; lift up to 40 lbs repetitively
