CNC Machinist, 1st Shift – Mishawaka, IN (Direct Hire)We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a growing precision machining team in a clean, professional manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling and turning machining centers while ensuring high-quality production and adherence to safety standards.The ideal candidate has strong experience in CNC machining, blueprint reading, tooling selection, and dimensional inspection, along with the ability to modify CNC programs.Available Schedule1st Shift: Monday – Friday (6:30 AM – 3:15 PM)Starting Pay Range$27/hr. - $35/hrKey ResponsibilitiesProgram, set up, and operate CNC milling and turning machining centersRead and interpret blueprints, dimensional data, and GD&T specificationsDetermine machining sequences, tooling, and insert selectionsWrite new CNC programs or modify existing programs using MastercamValidate programs and ensure machining accuracyPerform machining operations including surfacing, turning, reaming, boring, drilling, and tappingPerform dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring toolsSet up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting jaws, vises, stops, and material holding devicesObtain and transfer stock materials manually or using an overhead craneMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentUnderstand machine capacities, tooling limitations, and material machinabilityWork collaboratively within a team of approximately 10 machinistsQualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in a CNC machining environmentHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredDemonstrated hands-on experience with CNC milling and turning metal removal production systemsCNC technical degree or equivalent certification preferredExperience with Mazak, Haas, and Mitsubishi controls preferredExperience using Mastercam software preferredStrong shop math and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and in a team-oriented environmentWork EnvironmentClean, organized, and professional machine shopTeam-oriented atmosphereStable production environment with modern CNC equipmentBenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experienceOvertime opportunitiesCareer growth and cross-training opportunitiesProfessional and safety-focused work environment
