Machinist Opportunities at Primus AerospacePrimus Aerospace is a leading manufacturing partner to aerospace, defense, and space OEMs, Primes, and Tier I suppliers. The company specializes in producing high-tolerance, complex geometry parts machined using standard and exotic metals. Primus works directly with all major aerospace manufacturers (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman) to provide components for mission-critical civilian and defense programs.2nd Shift: M-Th 4:00pm - 2:30amPay Rate:Machinist I* -$22/hr-$30/hr ($26.40/hr - $36/hr with 20% shift differential)Machinist II* - $30/hr - $48/hr ($36/hr - $57.60/hr with 20% shift differential)Setup Machinist* -$28/hr - $42/hr ($33.60/hr - $50.40/hr with 20% shift differential)*position level will be assessed through the resume review and interview process.Key ResponsibilitiesPrevious CNC Operator experience: mill turn and latheGD&T print readingKnowledge of calipers, micrometers, metrology.Ability to indicate vices.Coordinate x, y, zKnowledge of machining principles.Operate CNC machines from provided work instructions from work order or set up personnelVerifying dimensional characteristics of partsMeet expected cycle times and production scheduleCompletion of all required paperwork in a timely mannerRequirementsPrevious CNC Operator experience or technical school course work completed3 years experience with machine set-ups (for Setup Machinist level)Reading blueprints and using hand toolsPrioritizing tasks and maintaining production goalsSelf-starter with a good attitudeAttention to detail and a strong desire to produce quality productsExperience in a manufacturing environment utilizing lean manufacturing techniques is preferredPrevious experience in Aerospace or defense machining environment preferred.Candidates must be eligible for and able to maintain a high-level security clearance.We offer comprehensive benefits for full-time employees including:PTO10 paid holidaysMedical, Dental, Vision, Short- and Long-term disability insurance401K matchLong and short-term incentive plansBenefits start 1st of the month after date of hireTo adhere to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, or lawful permanent resident of the U.S.At Primus Aerospace, we are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
