Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout the Role Work locally here in Belding! DS Mold & Die is a stable, locally owned industrial tool build and machining shop.
We are currently looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our floor. If you already know how to program and operate CNC machines, we want you. However, if you are currently a strong CNC Operator/Setup Machinist who wants to learn how to program, we are willing to train the right person. We believe in investing in our local team and giving you the skills to advance your career without having to drive to the city.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce high-precision parts for molds, dies, and custom tooling.
Read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and technical drawings.
Perform tool changes, offsets, and basic machine maintenance.
Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure strict tolerances.
For experienced programmers: Write and edit CNC programs.
For operators: Train alongside our experienced machinists to learn advanced CNC programming and G-code editing.
Qualifications
Direct experience setting up and operating CNC mills or lathes.
Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, speeds, and feeds.
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
A strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow in the machining trade.
Reliable transportation to our shop in Belding, MI.
