CNC MachinistOur client, in Clare, MI is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be part of the Manufacturing team supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to troubleshoot and adjust machining processes to keep work moving and quality on track.Location: Clare, MIPay Range: $23Shift: 2nd Shift - 4 pm to 12 am 3rd shift - 10 pm to 6 am *overtime is scheduled prior to shift start time and can be heavy, including SaturdaysWhat's the Job?Operate CNC machining equipment across multi-axis or multiple CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.Contribute to production by performing CNC machine set-ups and completing assigned jobs independently from start to finish.Run multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously, including lathes and mills, and operate manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality parts.Utilize Inventor CAM software to create 2.5–5-axis mill and mill-turn toolpath strategies.Complete shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets; monitor machine performance and make adjustments without supervision.What's Needed?High school diploma or GED (required).3+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment (required).Expert ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.Familiarity with Inventor CAM.Physical readiness to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, walk and stand for several hours, and maintain visual alertness around forklift traffic at corners and doorways.What's in it for me?Work with CNC machining across multiple platforms, including mills, lathes, and manual machining tools.Build confidence by completing jobs independently from start to finish with minimal supervision.Use Inventor CAM to support toolpath strategy development for 2.5–5-axis mill and mill-turn work.Strengthen your troubleshooting skills by escalating issues to technical experts and leadership when needed.Join a team focused on health and safety, quality compliance, and required training completion.
