CNC Machinist - Cutting Tool SupportWe're looking for an experienced CNC machinist or tooling professional to join our Cutting Tools & Industrial Supplies team in a technical support role. This is a customer-facing technical support role—not a sales position—where your machining knowledge becomes your greatest asset.If you're ready to take your machining expertise beyond the shop floor, we'd like to meet you.What You'll DoHelp customers select the right cutting tools, drills, taps, inserts, holders, and industrial suppliesRecommend tooling solutions based on workpiece material, machine capability, and machining applicationTroubleshoot machining challenges including tool life, chatter, chip control, surface finish, and cycle timeProvide technical guidance on speeds, feeds, coatings, tool geometry, and machining best practicesPrepare quotes, process customer orders, assist with will-call, and provide general tooling assistance.Continuing to expand your knowledge through manufacturer training and product educationWe're Looking For Someone Who Has3+ years of CNC machining, tool room, manufacturing engineering, or cutting tool experienceKnowledge of various cutting tool manufacturersStrong knowledge of milling, turning, drilling, and threading applicationsExperience selecting cutting tools for a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, and exotic alloysThe ability to troubleshoot machining and tooling challengesExcellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help customers succeedStrong computer skills and the ability to learn new systemsExperience with Sandvik, Kennametal, Seco, Iscar, Guhring, OSG, Mitsubishi Materials, or similar cutting tool manufacturers is a plus.Why Experienced Machinists Make This TransitionThis position allows you to stay connected to machining while enjoying:Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, In-officeStable, year-round employmentClimate-controlled office environmentNo mandatory overtimeOpportunity to solve a wide variety of machining challengesOngoing technical training from industry-leading manufacturersCollaborative team environmentThe chance to help manufacturers become more productive every dayWhat We OfferCompetitive pay: $30-$37 per hour, depending on experienceAnnual incentive opportunitiesMedical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance beginning on your first day401(k) with Company matchPaid vacation and personal timeTuition reimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramOpportunities for professional growth and advancementA financially stable company with more than 55 years of successAbout Productivity, Inc.Since 1968, Productivity has been a trusted partner to manufacturers across the Midwest.
