CNC Machinist Experienced - Oyster Point Industrial ParkLocation: Newport News, Virginia, United StatesSalary Range: $74,297.60 to $85,196.80The RoleInside (CNC) Machinists operate various machines (manual and/or CNC) such as; lathes, mills, vertical machining centers, horizontal boring mills, etc. Inside machinists troubleshoot operations and take appropriate actions to correct. The machinists perform quality inspections, verifying dimensions of work piece are in accordance with drawing specifications.Must HaveMust be willing to undergo a background investigation and drug screenMust be able to pass physical agility testMust be able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb on a daily basisMust be able to lift at least 40 poundsMust be able to perform overhead workMust be able to work at extreme heightsMust be able to perform work outdoors, year-round, in all weather conditionsMust be able to work in small, tight, confined spacesMust be able to take measurements or be willing to learnMust be willing to work in radiation areas, but with the appropriate training and equipmentMust be able to be clean shaven to wear a respiratorMust be able to work overtime as neededMust be willing to work any shiftCandidates must be 18 years of age or older and legally eligible to work in the U.S.Prior CNC Machinist Experience with 3 (three) or more yearsNice to HavePrior Mechanical experience such as Automotive Repair, Plant Maintenance, Machinery Installation/Repair is a plus.Successful completion of a technical/vocational program in Machining, Diesel Technology, Automotive, HVAC, Mechanical.Why HIIWe build the world's most powerful, survivable naval ships and defense technology solutions that safeguard our seas, sky, land, space and cyber.
