Job description
Finish Turn OperatorSuperior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Finish Turn Operator for our operation in Lima, OH. The Finish Turn Operator is a member of our Machining Department responsible for operating a CNC lathe to machine our forged rolls. Competitive wages starting at $24.20/hr with the opportunity for higher compensation based on experience and skills. Benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, PTO, Vacation, Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, and this position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program.Responsibilities:Set up and operate lathe and controllerInspect forging/roll; report any deviation from specificationMachine forging/roll to specificationPreventative maintenance on lathePerform other department duties, as assignedPhysical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. occasionally throughout shiftExposed to seasonal temperature changesManufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibrationQualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredPrevious CNC or machining experience preferred but not requiredPrevious experience operating manufacturing equipment and/or heavy machinery preferredMust be able to read/interpret blueprintsGood math skillsStrong attention to detailBasic problem solving and troubleshooting skillsMust be able to pass criminal background check and drug screenClassification: HourlyBenefits: Eligible after 30 days; medical/prescription drug coverage, dental, vision insurances, company provided Basic Life and AD&D insurance, additional voluntary benefits including hospital indemnity, accident and critical illness insurance, paid holidays, company paid safety shoes and prescription safety glasses.
