Job description
CNC Machinist for Lathe/MillJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC setup and operation, with a firm command of G-code and M-code programming. You will be responsible for producing high-quality parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and/or lathes, ensuring all components meet our rigorous aerospace-grade specifications.Key Responsibilities:Setup & Operation: Set up, load, and operate CNC machines (Mills/Lathes) to perform various machining functions.G-Code Proficiency: Read and interpret G-code/M-code to understand tool paths, speeds, and feeds. Perform "dry runs" and make necessary offsets or program edits at the controller to ensure part accuracy.Blueprints & GD&T: Read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Tooling: Select and install appropriate cutting tools, attachments, and accessories.Inspection: Perform first-article and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to maintain tolerances as tight as $±0.0005$.Efficiency: Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to optimize cycle times and tool life.Qualifications:Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in CNC Machining within a production environment.Technical Skills: Must be able to read and edit G-code manually.
