CNC MachinistCNC Machinist 1st Shift (6 AM – 2:30 PM) & 3rd Shift (10 PM – 6 AM) openingsPay Range: $28 – 38/hr, depending on experienceSummaryOur client is actively looking for CNC Set-Up Machinist responsible for performing complete setups and supporting production on Haas and DMG CNC mills and lathes.This role requires hands-on experience with tooling, fixturing, offsets, and first-article verification, as well as the ability to support and run programs created in Mastercam.The Machinist plays a key role in maintaining part quality, process stability, and on time production in a precision manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesCNC Machine Setup & OperationPerform full machine setups on Haas and DMG CNC mills and lathes, including tooling installation, work holding, fixturing, and offset adjustments.Load, prove out, and run CNC programs generated in Mastercam.Conduct first-article inspections and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications.Support production runs by monitoring tool wear and making offset or process adjustments as needed.Mastercam & Process SupportWork from Mastercam-generated programs; make minor edits at the control when required.Collaborate with programmers and engineers to improve setup efficiency, cycle time, and repeatability.Follow setup sheets, tooling lists, and work instructions to establish consistent processes.Quality & InspectionRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.Inspect first-piece and in-process parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.Maintain tight tolerances and proactively resolve quality issues.Continuous Improvement & SafetyTroubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, fixturing, materials, or machine performance.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap reduction, cycle time improvement, and process standardization.Requirements:3+ years of experience as a CNC Set-Up Machinist on mills and/or lathesHands-on experience with Haas and/or DMG Mori CNC machinesWorking knowledge of Mastercam and ability to run CAM-generated programsStrong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skillsExperience working in a precision, tight-tolerance machining environmentPreferred:Experience with multi-axis machining (4 or 5 axis)Ability to perform basic CNC program edits at the machine (G-code)Background in aerospace, medical, automotive, or high-mix/low-volume manufacturingFamiliarity with process documentation and setup optimizationFor more information, please apply, and/or email a copy of your resume to Beka Cassidy at
