CNC MachinistHot JobTX-LEGACY - Houston, TX 77066 Start Date 08/11/2026DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities2 shiftsVerifies conformance of finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessarySelects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as requiredStat and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as requiredSets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control of dataStudies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work-piece, sequence of operations and setup requirementsPerform routine maintenance tasks on machines are requiredEnsure that the correct material type and size is usedMaintains cohesion among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needsDocument actions by completing production and quality logsMaintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner, so that you get along with co-workers and managementMaintain a clean and organized work area and maintain equipment, to keep a nice appearanceMaintain a clean work environment, general housekeepingQualificationsHigh school diploma/GED, required2+ years of CNC lathe and/or mill experience, required5+ years of multi-axis experience, considered a plusExperience with HAAS machines and/or CNC's with Fanuc controls, preferredAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, requiredAbility to perform parts inspection, hold drawing tolerances and use measuring tools, requiredAbility to solve practical problems, requiredAbility to understand CNC programs, preferredAbility to run more than one machine at a time, preferred
