Job description
CNC MachinistResponsible for the manufacture and inspection of high precision products of varying complexity under general supervision. Responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed and must have the appropriate level of CNC machining experience required for the job as outlined below.Essential FunctionsAdhere to Harmonic Drive Shop Employee Expectations as trainedSet up and operate various CNC machine tools in accordance with company policy, procedures, and time standards.Perform various repetitive production machining operations using the ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches and work instructions.Inspect parts produced.Transmit and receive CNC programs, maintain computerized and/or manual production records.Provide technical assistance and on-the-job training to other employees.Perform other duties as required.Required CompetenciesAttention to detail.Ability to work with colleagues in a professional and cooperative manner.Good communication skills, both written and oral.General computer skills.Physical DemandsVisual acuity (corrected) to read documents, drawings, instructions and to inspect machined parts.Stand, move about the shop floor, talk, hear, bend, squat, kneel, and reach with hands and arms.Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time hourly position which operates Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm.TravelTravel is not required for this role.Required Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalentTechnical or vocational school background is helpful5-10 Years in a Manufacturing environmentHarmonic Drive LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.U.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job may require access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
