CNC Machinist II — 2nd Shift

Kelly Services is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist II for a premier manufacturing client in Grand Junction. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, with the potential for hire based on attendance and performance.

Pay rate: $40–$45 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 p.m.–2:30 a.m.

Training: Approximately one month on day shift before transitioning to second shift. Flexibility for daytime training hours is required.

Set up and operate 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes, with or without live tooling

Follow workplace safety requirements and maintain 6S standards in your work area

Operate a variety of hand and power machines

Use blueprints, engineering drawings and verbal instructions to fabricate machined components

Assemble cutting tools and monitor machine operations for worn or damaged tools

Enter commands and adjust controls to set tool offsets and work positions

Calculate tooling feeds and speeds

Inspect parts using precision measuring tools, including micrometers, dial indicators and calipers

Perform other assigned job functions

At least 5 years of machinist experience

Ability to lift and load parts weighing up to 50–75 pounds

Strong blueprint-reading skills, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Understanding of G- and M-codes and/or Mazatrol programming

Comfort with physically demanding work

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Good working knowledge of hand-measuring and inspection tools

High school diploma or GED; additional education preferred

Experience with Mazak Mill, Integrex or other multi-axis machining equipment preferred
