Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines in a production environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, manufacture precision parts to print tolerances, perform quality inspections, complete production documentation, and maintain a safe and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machining centres according to work instructions and SOPs.

Perform typical machine shop operations including milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, sawing, and sanding.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.

Determine machining sequences and layouts based on drawings and verbal instructions.

Run production lots and monitor machining processes to ensure parts meet specifications.

Perform precision measurements and inspections of finished machined parts.

Use measuring tools such as callipers, micrometeors, and tape measures.

Document inspection results and complete required production paperwork.

Identify and report defective materials, quality issues, or questionable conditions to management.

Work with engineers, programmers, production personnel, and other teams to resolve machining or production issues.

Assist in other production areas, including pre-form fabrication, lay-up, infiltration, furnace operations, and sandblasting, as needed.

Maintain CNC machines, tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.

Follow all SOPs, safety procedures, and work instructions.

Perform other duties as assigned.
