Job description
CNC Machinist InternGet paid to learn CNC machining while helping make real aerospace parts.As a CNC Machinist Intern at Acutec, you will work alongside experienced machinists and learn how advanced CNC machines turn raw material into precision parts. This is a hands-on internship where you will be part of the team, not sitting around watching someone else work.You will learn how to:Read blueprints, work instructions, and process specificationsLoad and operate CNC machinesSet up and run jobs with guidance from experienced machinistsInspect parts and use precision measuring toolsIdentify part defects or machine issuesHandle aerospace parts according to quality proceduresCommunicate job progress and issues with the teamThis paid fall internship can work around your college schedule and may lead to continued part-time work or a full-time career after graduation.RequirementsCurrently enrolled in a college or technical programInterested in machining, engineering, manufacturing, or aerospaceWilling to learn and work with your handsAble to follow instructions and pay attention to detailDependable and able to work as part of a teamComfortable working around manufacturing equipmentGood written and verbal communication skillsPrevious machining experience is helpful but not requiredMust be able to meet the physical requirements of the position and follow all safety procedures
