CNC Machinist JourneymanAerometals - El Dorado Hills, CA 95762OverviewSalary Range $35.00 - $45.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Travel Percentage Negligible Category Production OperatorsDescriptionReports To: Machinist LeadScope/Responsibility/Authority:Demonstrate ability to prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machineDemonstrate ability to check and change parts on fixture and viceDemonstrate ability to oversee the machines while they execute the tasksDemonstrate ability to preform blueprint math: stacked tolerance, edge distanceDemonstrate ability to follow procedures.Demonstrate ability to following work instructions and select proper toolsDemonstrate ability to use precision measuring devicesDemonstrate ability to make tool offset changes to meet tolerance of part featureDemonstrate ability to perform various CNC machining operations on CNC mill and lathe.Demonstrate ability to use skills to support equipment such as, Bridgeport mill, manual lathe and grinders as required.Demonstrate ability to utilize general knowledge and understanding of CAD/CAM systemsDemonstrate ability to Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished productDemonstrate ability to update and follow setup sheetDemonstrate ability to set up the Mill attachments such as 4th and 5th axisDemonstrate ability to do mathematical calculations related to SFPM, RPM, Feed Rates and chip load.Demonstrate ability to program simple partsDemonstrate knowledge of G&M codeDemonstrate ability to take direction from leadsDemonstrate ability to work with and mentor operators and machinistsDemonstrate the ability to work with, setup machines for operators, and mentor machinist and operators.Demonstrate ability to support welding and sheet metal with tooling as needed.Ability to design tooling as needed for specific jobs.Demonstrate the ability to create fixturesDemonstrate ability to program parts to finish on 3 axis 4 axis setup and positional programingDemonstrate ability to edit programs by hand on machine controlPerform any other duties as required by the organization.QualificationsQualification Requirements:Education : High School Diploma or EquivalentSkills :Mechanically inclined.Ability to follow instructions and be proficient in CAD/CAM programs.Safety conscious.Experience making and programming R&D and first article partsExperience :6+ years experience in machining processesExperience in SolidWorks and CAMWorks is a plusTraining : CNC and Solid Works/CAMWorks programming as required.
