What you'll be doing
* Complete full machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, and offsets
* Edit CNC programs directly at the control (G-code and M-code adjustments)
* Read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T requirements
* Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for each job
* Machine complex parts to tight tolerances on CNC lathes, CNC mills, and manual equipment
* Use precision measurement tools to check work in process
* Conduct in-process and final inspections
* Troubleshoot machining and quality issues with minimal supervision
* Maintain accurate production and quality documentation, and coordinate with other departments
Machines, controls and software
Works across CNC lathes, CNC mills, manual mills, and manual lathes, with 3- to 5-axis machining and setups. Experience with common CNC controls is required; CAM programming experience is a plus.
What we're looking forRequired
* Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
* Minimum 2 years of CNC mill experience
* Minimum 2 years of CNC lathe experience
* 3- to 5-axis machining and setups
* Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
* Experience with common CNC controls
* Strong problem-solving and math skills
* U.S. citizenship — pursuant to a government contract, this position is not open to foreign nationals or non-U.S. citizens
Preferred
* Manual machining experience
* CAM programming experience
* High school diploma or GED
Pay, benefits and schedule
Pay is up to $40.00 per hour depending on experience, for an expected 40 hours per week.
