CNC MachinistLocation: Montgomery, ALJob Type: Full timeShift: DayPay Range: $20-$35 per hourPosition Summary: We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong metal lathe expertise and the ability to program, set up, and operate CNC machines. This role involves producing precision components to exact specifications while maintaining high quality and efficiency standards.Key Responsibilities:Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to produce precision metal componentsRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD filesSelect appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materialsPerform machine setup, adjustments, and tool changesInspect finished parts using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gaugesTroubleshoot machining issues and optimize programs for efficiencyMaintain machines and perform routine preventative maintenanceEnsure adherence to safety and quality standardsMaintain accurate production and inspection recordsQualifications:High school diploma or GED required (technical or machining certification preferred)2+ years of CNC machining experience, with a focus on lathe operationsProven ability to write and edit CNC programs (G-code or conversational programming)Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials (steel, aluminum, alloys)Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instrumentsExperience with CAD/CAM software is a plusStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Stand for extended periods during shiftsManual dexterity and precision hand-eye coordinationPreferred Skills:Experience with multi-axis CNC lathesFamiliarity with FANUC, Haas, or similar control systemsLean manufacturing or continuous improvement experienceAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFull Benefits Offered!
