This opportunity lets you program, set up, and operate CNC equipment to manufacture high-quality components while supporting efficient production and exceptional quality.Job DutiesSet up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathesMachine precision parts from blueprints, sketches, and specificationsPerform manual programming and utilize CAD/CAM software as neededComplete machine setups and tooling changes independentlyMonitor machining operations and maintain close tolerancesIdentify opportunities to improve setup times and production efficiencyInspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are metComplete production records and time-tracking documentationOperate forklifts to move materials as neededTrain and mentor CNC Machinist TraineesEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required. Technical school, machining certificate, or CNC programming education preferred.Experience Requirements5+ years of CNC machining experience in a Tool & Die environment Ability to manually program CNC equipment Experience using CAD/CAM software Experience performing complete machine setups independently Forklift experience required Experience with HAAS machines highly preferred Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skillsPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience with CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, or multi-axis equipment is preferred. Experience editing CNC programs, setting tooling offsets, and performing machine setups is beneficial. Familiarity with G-code, CAD/CAM software, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, continuous learning, and commitment to precision manufacturing are well positioned for success as a CNC Machinist.Physical CapabilitiesAbility to stand, walk, bend, and work around machining equipment throughout the shift. Ability to lift materials, tooling, and components weighing up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity to safely operate CNC machinery and precision measuring equipment.
