Job description
MachinistPay Rate: $30.48 per hour Location: Glenolden, PA Work Schedule: Monday-Friday: 2:00 pm to 11:15 pmResponsibilities:Interpret blueprints per ANSI/ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) standardsSet up and run CNC lathes (3- and 4.5-axis) and CNC mills (4- and 5-axis) in production environmentsInterpret and edit G?code NC programsOperate manual machine tools (drill press, saws, shears, presses)Operate manual lathes and mills; sharpen cutting toolsInspect GD&T features using verniers, micrometers, comparators, bore mics, surface plates, CMM, etc.Assist Manufacturing Engineering with troubleshooting, process development, and tool identificationTrain others on machines and processes within the value streamIdentify and implement continuous improvement for safety, quality, and efficiencyRequirements:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 3 years' experience as a machinist or tool makerMust reside within 50 miles of GlenoldenMust be a U.S. person under ITAR (Citizen, Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee)Preferred Skills:Experience or education in CAD/draftingCNC programming experience (MasterCAM)Minimum 5 years' experience as a machinist or tool makerSpecialized Knowledge:Proficiency in trigonometryTool sharpening (boring bars, drills, tree pan tools)Ability to run most turning and milling equipmentStrong blueprint reading and inspection skills, including CMMBasic computer skillsAdditional Information:PPE required: safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves as neededAXEL01
