Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for machining large structural steel fabrications, including setup, programming, operation, and routine maintenance on 5-axis CNC mills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform setups, changeovers, and run complex parts on 5-axis CNC milling machines.
Read and interpret engineering prints, GD&T, and complex technical drawings.
Work with tight tolerances on large steel weldments and fabrications.
Perform basic mechanical assembly and fitting as needed.
Troubleshoot G-code, tooling issues, and machining parameters independently.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Machinists Background: 3-5+ years of hands-on experience setting up, operating, and programming 5-axis CNC mills.
Technical Credentials: Journeyman Machinist certification, trade apprenticeship completion, or Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology (or equivalent hands-on trade experience).
Blueprint & Tooling Literacy: Demonstrated ability to work with tight tolerances, GD&T, complex weldments, and heavy steel fabrications.
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, manoeuvre around heavy machinery, and handle large steel setups safely.
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
