CNC Machinist – Setup & ProgrammingAre you the machinist people turn to when a setup is difficult, a tolerance is tight, or a program needs to run better?We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists with strong setup and programming skills for confidential manufacturing opportunities in the Greater San Antonio Metro.The ideal candidate can take a part from print to finished component, perform complete machine setups, make program changes, troubleshoot machining issues, and consistently produce tight-tolerance parts.What You'll DoSet up and program CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&TCreate, edit, and optimize CNC programsSelect tooling, feeds, speeds, offsets, and workholdingPerform prove-outs and first-piece inspectionsTroubleshoot machining, tooling, finish, and tolerance issuesMake program adjustments at the machine as neededUse precision measuring equipment to verify finished partsImprove cycle times, tooling performance, and machining efficiencyWork with Engineering, Production, and Quality to resolve manufacturing issuesWhat We're Looking ForPrevious CNC machining experienceStrong CNC setup skillsProgramming or program-editing experienceAbility to work from print to finished partStrong understanding of GD&T and tight tolerancesKnowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, offsets, and workholdingStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience with CNC milling, turning, or bothPreferred ExperienceMastercam or comparable CAM software3-, 4-, or 5-axis machiningHaas, Mazak, DMG MORI, Okuma, Doosan, or similar equipmentFanuc or similar controlsComplex precision machiningFixture and workholding experienceFirst article inspectionLean manufacturing or continuous improvementYou May Be a Strong Fit If YouPerform your own setups rather than only running established jobsCan make program changes at the machineUnderstand how tooling, feeds, speeds, offsets, and workholding affect the finished partCan troubleshoot chatter, finish, tolerance, and tooling problemsTake pride in producing accurate, high-quality componentsEnjoy solving challenging machining problemsPlease submit a resume for confidential consideration.Resumes can be sent to additional information, contact Kristie Ballestin at All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
