Since 1802, we have been embracing innovations and sustainable solutions of the highest quality that add value to people's lives around the globe.Join us to be part of a forward-thinking, people-centered company where your ideas and contributions truly matter.This is your opportunity to make a real impact in a collaborative, international environment.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Follow direction from the General Manager of the PBU or his designeeHelp support and maintain all 6S standards in your immediate work area and others as neededConstruct auxiliary equipment ranging in complexity from "simple to intermediate"Make sure all safety equipment and safety regulations are adhered to when operating machineryPerform other job-related duties as directedResponsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employeesRequires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisorAdhere to all Environmental, Health & Safety rulesFollow instructions and guidelinesWork with close tolerances related to drilling, boring, reaming and millingMaintain a 40-hour workweek and ability to work overtime as neededAdhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18801 certification requirementsRequired Skills/Abilities:Good working knowledge of metal cutting feeds and speeds, threading terminology and calculating angles for setting sine barsAble to work from blueprints, sketches and/or verbal descriptions for planning operational sequencesGood working knowledge of standard shop mathematicsUnderstand grinding principles and proceduresEducation and Experience:High school diploma, desiredTwo (2) years experience in vocational training or machine shopWorking Conditions / Physical Requirements:Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areasMust be able to lift 50 lbs. in a safe mannerClarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast and repetitious operation for extended period of timeExposure to heavy equipment or components needed to produce product (safety toed shoes required)Exposure to sparks, chips, and dust (eye protection required)Must be able to perform repetitive motion. Examples: walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of timeExposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection required)Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts
