Our machines are already in production, running on real factory floors, and demand is accelerating.Recent milestone: FT was selected for a U.S. Department of Defense APFIT award, supporting deployment of our systems across multiple Air Force maintenance depots. This marks a major step as we scale production and expand our engineering team.We're looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our small, highly technical team; one who takes pride in precision and who wants to be part of something bigger than production work.What You'll Be Working OnSet up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce high-precision componentsWork from blueprints, CAD drawings, and engineering specsMachine complex parts used in advanced manufacturing equipmentCustom parts for new machine builds, prototypes, and system upgradesCollaborate with engineers and team members to improve processes and qualityMaintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards in a low-to-mid volume environmentThis role is focused on a high level of detailed accuracy to fabricate quality custom components.Why This Role Is DifferentSmall company ? high ownership and visibilityMore variety – Complex, custom components instead of repetitive runsHigher-level work – Tight tolerances and precision parts that directly impact machine performanceReal impact – Your work contributes to building entire systems, not just individual partsCollaboration with engineering – Work closely with designers to solve problems and improve processesYou'll move beyond production machining and into precision work that helps build the machines that advance manufacturing technologies.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience and scope of role (Typical range: $60,000 - $75,000+ for specialized role)Flexible working hoursProfit sharing, so you benefit directly from the company's successOpportunity to earn phantom equity, allowing you to share in the value you help create (phantom equity provides real economic upside without the complexity or tax burden of traditional equity ownership)Direct access to leadership and technical decision-makingLong-term growth as production volume and system complexity increaseThis Role Might Be Right for You IfYou're an experienced CNC machinist who enjoys setup, problem-solving, and precision workYou take pride in holding tight tolerances and producing high-quality partsYou're looking to move beyond repetitive production into more complex, meaningful workYou enjoy working from prints and figuring out how to machine challenging componentsYou want to be part of building complete machines—not just running partsYou're comfortable working in a low-volume, high-mix environment5+ years of experience in machining high-precision components is preferred. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and G-code is important. Programming in MasterCAM is a huge plus. Experience with multi-axis machining (4-axis / 5-axis) and a strong understanding of tooling, speeds & feeds, and process optimization is a plus.This role requires good manual dexterity and the ability to lift 50+ lbs.Don't meet every qualification?
