Our 2nd shift is 2:45 pm-12:45 am, with a $2-an-hour shift differential.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesSetup, and run CNC machines.Effectively receive priorities and ensure they are followedIdentify and resolve bottlenecks in CNC Machining TeamOrder necessary tooling and equipmentEnsure quality of parts produced by CNC Machining Team meet specificationsSchedule work for team members on both shiftsEnforce all company attendance, safety, and personnel policies amongst teamDirect improvements in safety, quality, and cost in CNC Machining TeamStartup and shut down machine as recommended by maintenanceOperate both overhead and jib style cranesOperate fork truckOperate machine in such a manner to meet quality standardsOperate machine in both a safe and productive mannerPerform required preventative maintenanceProgram CNC mills, and lathes using MastercamAll other duties as assignedQualifications2 year CNC machinist degree and/or previous work experience as a machinistSet up and operate one of the following machines:Okuma Lathe (OSP ControlsOkuma vertical mill (OSP Controls)Read and interpret prints without supervision and/or directionProficient in MastercamCertified crane operatorCertified fork truck operatorAbility to multi-task, meaning operate machine and/or machines while completing tasks such as programming and/or review/prepare setups for upcoming jobsAbility to work well in a team environment.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; able to handle shifting priorities and deadlines; able to properly prioritize.Strong attention to detailAvailable for overtime, if needed.Have good housekeeping habits and strict adherence to safety.Take personal ownership and pride of quality work in the department.Willing to assist in other areas as needed.Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills requiredExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting prioritiesAbility to work individually as well as in a team environmentWorks in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals.
