CNC Machinist - TsugamiCompany: BiomericsLocation: Monroe, CTPosition Type: Full-time EmployeeHourly Rate: $20.00 - $40.00, depending on experience.Biomerics provides contract manufacturing, laser processing, and finishing services to a wide range of industries with a strong commitment to customer service. Biomerics specializes in the most challenging machined and micromachined components, including those used in interventional and medical robotics applications. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive, positive work environment with opportunities for challenge and growth.Biomerics offers Swiss machining with integrated laser cutting on precision medical tubing. Laser/Swiss machining enables features to be machined and laser cut in the same process. Our core competency lies in smaller medical components, produced with high accuracy and repeatability. Traditional Swiss screw machining capability is also available for rapid prototyping and production.In addition, Biomerics utilizes five axis milling machines capable of producing complex finished components, while holding extremely tight tolerances.Job Description: Biomerics has immediate openings for talented CNC Machine Operator at our facility in Monroe, CT. Working in a team environment, this individual will ensure that automated manufacturing processes are producing optimal results.Representative Responsibilities:Prepare and operate machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.Prepare and load raw materials onto the machines.Set up and run first pieces to verify that the machines produce outputs according to specifications.Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.Requirements:Knowledge of machine shop equipment and practice, (actual machining experience a plus)Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred but willing to train the right candidate.Must have strong attention to detail.Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprintsAbility to work independently and closely follow directions is essential.Equal Opportunity Employer: Minority, Female, Protected Veteran, Individual with Disabilities are encouraged to apply.Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Paid Vacation Days, Paid Holidays, 401kPlease, No Recruitment Agency calls or emails (we are not using recruitment services for this, or any other role posted).Biomerics does not accept non-solicited resumes or candidate submittals from search/recruiting agencies not already on Biomerics approved agency list.
