Job description
CNC MachinistNow hiring for a CNC Machinist in Youngsville, LA. Pay rate: $18.00 – $38.00 per hour (depending on experience). Schedule: 40+ hours a week. This opportunity lets you program, set up, and operate CNC equipment to manufacture high-quality components while supporting efficient production and exceptional quality.Education Requirements:High school diploma or GED requiredTechnical training in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or a completed machinist program is a plusAbility to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specificationsExperience Requirements:Must know G-code2+ years of CNC lathe or CNC mill setup and operation experience preferredRecent graduates of a machinist training program will be consideredExperience performing in-process inspections and using precision measuring instrumentsAbility to troubleshoot machining issues and make machine adjustments as neededPreferred Qualifications:Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityBasic math skills, including shop calculations and measurement conversionsKnowledge of machining tolerances, feeds, speeds, and cutting toolsAbility to work independently and collaborate with production teamsFamiliarity with preventive machine maintenance and safe manufacturing practicesPhysical Capabilities:Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shiftFrequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 poundsManual dexterity to handle tools, materials, and machine controlsClose, distance, peripheral, and depth vision required for inspection and machining tasksComfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery and occasional humidityJob Duties:Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce precision partsInterpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions to determine machining requirementsSelect and install tooling, fixtures, attachments, and materials for production runsCalculate and adjust machine settings, including speeds, feeds, coolant flow, and cutting depthsMonitor machine performance, identify issues, and make adjustments to maintain quality standardsPerform dimensional inspections and verify finished products meet customer and engineering specificationsCollaborate with supervisors and production personnel to resolve machining and assembly challengesComplete daily equipment maintenance, report repair needs, and maintain a clean, organized work areaBenefits:Competitive weekly payComprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverageLife insurance and disability insurance for added peace of mindOptional 401(k) plan to help you prepare for the futureModern manufacturing environment focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvementAbout Us:At Staffmark, we connect hardworking people with great companies, creating opportunities that make a lasting impact.
