Job Description Job Description The CNC Manual Bridgeport Operator/Machinist plays a critical role in precision machining, utilizing expertise in CNC programming, setup, and operation of Bridgeport Mills with Accurite controllers. Working within a medium-sized team and reporting to the Shop Foreman, this position demands strong analytical skills and attention to detail to produce high-quality parts by reading blueprints and maintaining machinery. The role offers opportunities for skill development and does not require travel.
Responsibilities
Program and operate CNC Bridgeport Mills with Accurite Controller
Set up machines and perform routine maintenance
Modify parts and materials to optimize production
Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accuracy
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools
Maintain quality control standards throughout production
Required Qualifications
5 years of machining experience
Familiarity with machine tools and equipment
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years in CNC machining and programming
Experience operating Bridgeport mills
Proficient in blueprint reading and precision measuring
Machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills
Effective problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
