Job description
CNC Mill-Turn Set Up OperatorThe focus of this role is to set up and operate CNC Mill-Turn machines/fixtures, maintain quality and safety standards, keep records, and maintain equipment and supplies to manufacture machined parts with a strong focus on new product launch and prove out as well as continuous improvement projects for existing product lines.Position Qualifications/Requirements:5+ years of experience working with blueprints, GD&T and technical documents commensurate with machine operation5+ years of experience with CNC Mill-Turn process from set up to finish5+ years of experience with Fanuc or other CNC controls5+ years of experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC Mill-Turn machining3+ years of experience with CNC Mill-Turn programs including formatting and editing3+ years of experience machining one or more of the following materials: stainless steel alloys, Copper, Aluminum, and/or TitaniumPreferred Skills:Organizational and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to use various inspection gagesProficient with use of personal computersDetailed process documentationCore Duties:Conduct all set-up and quality operations in support of machining for self and othersPartner with leadership to prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goalsSet up and operate machines in accordance with process sheets and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.)Prove out of new products, fixtures and tooling while documenting for training of production operators.Set up and manage CNC Mill-Turn machines to perform different jobs including drilling, milling, and turningOversee the in-process machines and make the necessary offset changes to produce improved resultsAbility to problem solve on new production parts as well as improve on existing productionAdvise Production Manager of issues that arisePlan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parametersMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsMaintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needsDocument actions by completing production and quality logsHours:1st shiftMonday-Thursday, 4:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.Overtime as neededSpecial Requirements:Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen.
