Shift: 1st Shift 5am - 3:30pm (4 Days per week) Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Set-up and operate CNC Lathe and CNC Vertical Machining CenterUse machine tools, meters and machine manuals to diagnose problemsManufacture of precision parts with multiple quantities and with multiple profiles (radiuses and angles with different tangent points)Use hand tools, power tools, welding and fabricating techniquesUse and read precision measuring instrumentsAble to read and understand blueprintsProvide support to department for plant improvement or facility projects, as neededPerforms daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machineryMust be available to work overtime days/hours as needed for emergency repairsAssist in other areas of the shop as neededMust be able to work proficiently with minimal supervisionOther duties as assigned by managementRegular attendance is an essential function of this positionCompliance with applicable Company policies concerning maintaining a drug free workplace is requiredCompliance with all Company policies including all safety policies and procedures is requiredMinimum Education RequiredHigh School/GEDJob CategoryEquipment OperatorAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualifications Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Machine Tool Technology Technical Certificate or Associates Degree in CNC Machining preferred. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge to include Outlook and MS Word and Excel. Excellent problem solving, organization skills, and attention to detail.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a manufacturing environment.
