Job description

MachinistOperates both CNC lathes and CNC milling machine centersEvaluates parts to match blueprint specifications, such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructionsAdheres to quality assurance procedures and processesObserves operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined workpiece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometersOperates bench grinder to sharpen toolsCompletes daily maintenanceMaintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsCleans and maintains work areaOther duties as assignedProfessional Qualifications2 - 4 years of metal hand finishing or deburring experienceHigh School Diploma or GED; or equivalent of progressive related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with Haas, Mazak and Daewoo preferredExperienced machinist able to apply commonly used concepts, practices, and processes in a Machine Shop environmentKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and processes in a Machine Shop environmentAble to work both independently and in a team environmentAble to communicate effectively verbally and in writingGood problem-solving skillsPersonal SkillsExcellent communication skillsAble to work in a fast-paced environmentGood planning skills and ability to effectively multitaskGood hand and eye dexterityWe OfferAt HBK, we believe in freedom with responsibility, enabling a healthy work-life balance and continuous professional development.
