CNC Operator (3rd Shift)Location: New Castle, IN, US, 47362Company Description: Crown Equipment Corporation is a leading innovator in world-class forklift and material handling equipment and technology. As one of the world's largest lift truck manufacturers, we are committed to providing the customer with the safest, most efficient and ergonomic lift truck possible to lower their total cost of ownership.Job Duties: Set up, adjust, and operate automatic and CNC lathes, mills, or centerless grinder. Change tooling as needed. Operate 1 or 2 machines by self or 3 or more with assistance of another operator or automation. Help solve machining problems related to your assigned machine. Inspect parts per print specifications. Help train and assist new operators. Able to read and change CNC programs. Perform other related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Reading and writing skills, communication skills, basic math (including fractions and decimals), remember, reason, analyze and problem solve Per 8-12 hr. shift (stand up to 8 hrs., walk up to 4 hrs.), occasionally (bend, squat, balance, push/pull), occasionally (reach above shoulder level, kneel). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 24 lbs., occasionally from 25 to 50 lbs.). Must be able to hear, see, distinguish colors, do simple and firm grasping with both hands. Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to heat, dust, solvents, and oil. Must be able to safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.Preferred Qualifications: Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring devices. Some knowledge of CNC programming and controls preferred. Prior experience operating CNC equipment.Earn an additional $1.50/hour for working 2nd or 3rd shift (4/10 work schedule), or an additional $5.00/hour for working weekend shift (3/12 work schedule).
