Job description
CNC OperatorMonday–Friday, 2nd shift - 3 p.m.-11:30 p.m. 3rd shift - 11pm-7:30amResponsibilities:Prepare, maintain and operate CNC machines, including 5 axes CNC machines.Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.Identify and pull correct material required to fill order.Multitask and operate two CNC machines simultaneously to produce parts for different orders.Load/Unload CNC machine with material/parts being produced.Deburr and inspect parts produced according to customer drawing/requirements.Perform the following tasks: sanding, deburring, labeling, packaging, filling out required forms, cutting material.Cut material on Table Saw and/or Band Saw.Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.Maintain a lean and organized work area as required for functional and safe work environment.Complete assigned tasks within production schedule timeline.Responsible for maintaining housekeeping requirements within assigned area/s.
