CNC Machinist (Lathe Operator)Build Precision Parts. Make an Impact.We're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who enjoys taking ownership of the entire machining process—from setup and programming to production and quality inspection. If you're skilled with CNC lathes, G-Code programming, and precision measurement tools, this is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing team where your expertise is valued.What You'll DoSet up, program, and operate CNC Mazak lathes and millsRead blueprints, process sheets, and technical drawingsEdit and optimize G-Code and/or Mazatrol programsSelect tooling, adjust offsets, and troubleshoot machining issuesInspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gaugesPerform machine maintenance and ensure quality standards are metCollaborate with team members to improve production efficiencyWhat We're Looking For3+ years of CNC lathe setup and operation experienceStrong G-Code programming skills (Mazatrol experience preferred)Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&TExperience with precision measuring tools and tight-tolerance machiningStrong troubleshooting, mathematical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environmentPreferred QualificationsTechnical training in machining or manufacturingCAD/CAM programming experienceFamiliarity with Fanuc controls and conversational programmingExperience mentoring or training other machinistsWhy Join Us?Hands-on, highly skilled machining workOpportunity to program, set up, and operate your own machinesVariety of challenging projects and materialsCollaborative team focused on quality and continuous improvementIf you're a detail-oriented machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality precision parts, we'd love to hear from you.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schaumburg, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
