Job description
Production Section RouterThis position uses the router to cut holes into the sections.Essential DutiesRead and interpret work orders/blueprintsCheck inventory and locate needed sectionInserts parts into routing machineUnpack the sectionsCheck sections for quality and sizeUsing the motorized router, cut holes for the glass inserts.Remove the metal cut outsPlace routed out section on a cart for the Glazier to assembleMaintain a clean and safe working areaEssential Job Skills and ExperienceEducation/experience: Any combination of education providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be:High School Diploma or GED preferred6 months of transferable experienceSkills/Knowledge RequiredMust be able to read a tape measure accuratelyAbility to work independently and with a teamAbility to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and more than 50 lbs using a team-liftAbility to stand for extended periods of timeGood hand-eye coordinationPhysical Environment/Working ConditionsThis position involves standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day. It requires grasping and fine finger manipulation on both hands. The position requires stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. The plant is not climate controlled. Noise levels can become high. NWD provides and requires hearing protection in the department.
