CNC Operator TraineeLocation: 225 Talbot Blvd, Chestertown, MD 21620 Pay Range: $18 - $20 per hour DOW SKILLBRIDGE OPPORTUNITY! The Dixon Group is looking for a motivated CNC Operator Trainee to join our team at Dixon Specialty Products in Chestertown, MD! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who wants to learn valuable technical skills, work with advanced machinery, and be part of a company that invests in your growth. In this role, you'll be trained to set up and operate Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) mills and lathes to produce precision metal components. You'll learn how to inspect products against mechanical and technical drawings, identify machining issues, and make necessary adjustments—all while working in a supportive, safety-focused environment.At The Dixon Group, we value the contributions of our Military Veterans and proudly employ our nation's heroes. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.What You'll Do: Participate in hands-on training to learn CNC machine setup and operation. Produce metal components according to engineering specifications. Learn to identify and correct basic machining issues. Gain familiarity with Dixon's product lines and quality standards. Collaborate with your team to ensure smooth and safe production processes. Maintain a clean and organized work area.What We're Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or related coursework preferred. Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. Mechanical aptitude and an eagerness to learn. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (training provided if needed). Comfort using hand tools and applying basic shop math. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of your shift.
