Job description
CNC OperatorSafe Flight, a leader in aviation safety and flight performance systems, was founded in 1946. The company pioneered the development of Stall Warning and Angle of Attack, Automatic Throttle Systems, Wind Shear Warning, and many other innovations in aircraft instrumentation, flight performance, and control systems for fixed and rotary winged aircraft. With product installed on over two-thirds of the world's aircraft, Safe Flight counts among its customers the majority of the world's aircraft manufacturers, more than 50 airlines, hundreds of operators of corporate jet aircraft and U.S. and International Armed Services.Office hours: 7:45 am to 4:15 p.m. Monday through Friday in office. Hourly rate: $23- $25 per hour.Duties/Responsibilities:Conventional milling machines, conventional & hardinge lathes, grinding machines and drilling tapping machines required.Geometric Tolerance and DimensioningExperience interpreting blueprints: Technical drawings and production plans.Quality control: Experience with calipers and micrometers to verify that finished parts meet required tolerance.Setting up machines and loading programs.Monitor production: Tracking key performance metrics like cycle times, part counts, spindle uptime, and downtime reasons.Machine maintenance: Light daily maintenance such as cleaning tools and keeping the work area safe.Efficiency: Minimize idle times and maintain process flow while on duty.Required Skills/Abilities:Good communication and strong interpersonal skills are required.Knowledge of CNC programming and/or operation a plus.Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a small job shop facility.Equal Opportunities Employer Safe Flight provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
