Job description
CNC Press Brake OperatorA client of Insight Global is looking for a skilled CNC Press Brake Operator to set up and run press brake equipment that forms sheet metal and plate into precise parts. You will read blueprints, program and tool the machine, and check finished parts against specifications, with attention to both quality and safety.Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC press brakes to bend and form sheet metal, plate, and other materials to specificationRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders, including GD&T calloutsSelect, install, and adjust tooling (punches, dies, back gauges) for each jobProgram bend sequences, angles, and backgauge positions at the machine control, or load and verify programs from offline softwareCalculate bend allowances, deductions, and springback compensationInspect parts during and after production using calipers, protractors, angle gauges, micrometers, and height gaugesMaintain quality and production targets while keeping scrap and rework lowHandle and move material safely, using overhead cranes, forklifts, or lifting aids as neededPerform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting, and report mechanical issues promptlyKeep the work area clean and organizedFollow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and PPE policiesDocument production counts, inspection results, and job completion accurately
