Job description
CNC ProgrammerA global manufacturing company is seeking CNC Programmers who will be responsible for PC-DMIS programming and operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine to inspect and report precision production parts. There are openings on both first and second shifts; however, a typical work week is up to 55 hours.Job Responsibilities:Create PcDMIS and/or Verisurf programs against scheduled production/tooling work, using 3D CAD, and or 2D drawingsOptimize existing programs for increased part throughput and efficiencyRoutine cleaning of CMM and worktable/workspace, ensuring a FOD free measurement environmentTroubleshoot programming deficiencies in offline and online environmentsPerform correlation and Gage R&R activities where required and enter data into planning and reporting software systemInterpret and apply ASME or ISO GD&T drawing/MBD requirements to create a program that satisfy all drawing/part characteristicsCreate and complete First Article Inspection Report, perform manual inspections using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and other functional gages, and perform leak detection testsPerform part castings to validate part geometry, CMM preventative maintenance activities, and calibration of internal measurement gagesCreate and review manufacturing, test, and/or material specifications and work in conjunction with external source inspectors, auditors and suppliers on verification/validation activitiesPerform other duties as assigned
