Job description
Job TitleDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Safely conduct all tasks and behaviors and comply with all JBT Machining Safety Policies, including the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, as outlined in the Safety Manual.Coordinate with the Estimation department to provide initial reviews of upcoming jobs and provide feedback, as needed, on potential concerns.Coordinate with the Engineering department on any special fixture or other engineering needs for upcoming jobs.Coordinate tooling and any special tooling needs for upcoming jobs.Program, set up, and produce parts on CNC machines according to specifications and within acceptable production requirements.Provide front-end reviews of programs before production, to identify potential issues to address and/or improvements to increase efficiency.Troubleshoot and assist operators when programming issues impact production and/or quality.Complete accurate daily records (date, time, quantities of parts ran, and scrap) for every job worked on, on Shop Travelers and in the ERP system.Follow instructions from all JBT Machining documentation, including Shop Traveler, Inspection Sheets, and blueprints.Inform the quality control, shift supervisor/ lead person of any problems or concerns with parts.Accept responsibility for the quality of products/services provided and perform all required inspections.Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment, watch and listen for abnormal conditions, and immediately report any concerns to maintenance and/or shift supervisor/lead.Maintain the assigned work area in a clean and orderly manner and comply with all procedures.Maintain all required documentation.Perform other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Mechanical background and machine operating experience are helpfulA willingness to learn and be trained on the JBT manufacturing processGeneral skills with hand and power toolsExperience working in a fast-paced environmentProblem-solving and attention to detailThe ability to multitask on a wide variety of projectsPrior CNC Machining, Set-Up Experience and Programming ExperiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to routinely bend and squatAbility to routinely climb stairs, ladders, or platformsAbility to walk and stand for prolonged periodsAbility to repetitively graspAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 poundsCandidates must support and promote our Cultural Tenets; Do the Right Thing, Trust, Put the Team First, Accountability, Collaboration, Communication, Clarity on Reality and Feedback.Contact us directly for a tour of our top notch, environmentally controlled, facility!Here's what we can offer:Medical, Dental, and Vision after 60 days of employmentCompetitive Wellness Program, providing up to 100% discount on medical premiumsShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilitySupplemental Accident Insurance through Allstate for additional coverage on accidents + cancerEmployer-Paid Life Insurance401(k) after 60 days of employment + competitive match after one yearPaid Time Off starting after 90 days of employmentPaid Holidays starting day one!Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending AccountGreat discount programs in automotive, technology, and moreEducation Assistance is available for job related courses to further your education, with up to 100% paid tuition for maintenance-related coursework and certificationsCareer Advancement OpportunitiesTeammate Assistance Program (TAP) which offers professional assistance for Counseling, Financial, Legal, and Family servicesWage Range: $25.00 - $40.00/hour (depending on experience)Shift: 1st (Monday-Thursday: 6am-4:30pm, Friday: 6am-11am)JBT Machining is a safety- sensitive workplace.
