Lead CNC Programmer/MachinistLocation: Fletcher, NCJob Type: Full-TimeSchedule: 3rd Shift 5:00 PM – 3:30 AMPay: $18/hourOur client is seeking an experienced Lead CNC Programmer/Machinist with strong CNC programming, machining, and CAD/CAM experience. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment to produce small lots of precision-machined parts to detailed drawings and specified tolerances. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or as part of a small team.Key Responsibilities:Program, set up, and operate CNC horizontal lathes and 5-axis milling machinesProduce small lots of precision-machined parts according to drawings and specified tolerancesUse CAD/CAM software to generate programs and export post processors for CNC machinerySelect appropriate tooling to produce parts efficiently and accuratelyConfigure and set machine offsets within CNC controlsRead and interpret mechanical drawings with minimal tolerancesDevelop and work with fixtures and work holding conceptsOperate manual mills and lathesPerform quality checks using micrometers, calipers, GO/NO-GO gauges, and other measurement toolsPerform preventative maintenance and maintain equipment according to manufacturer recommendationsTroubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs as neededSafely operate CNC machinery, forklifts, and overhead cranesTransport materials as neededHelp maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentMaintain quality standards to minimize interruptions in productionAdapt to changing production schedules and prioritiesAssist with other duties as assigned by managementRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentProven experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipmentExperience with CAD/CAMAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawingsStrong understanding of machining tooling and processesExperience using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and GO/NO-GO gaugesKnowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, and Mazatrol machining controlsAbility to configure and set machine offsetsStrong understanding of metric measurementsKnowledge of geometric, algebraic, and trigonometric calculationsManual mill and lathe experienceAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasksExperience operating or programming the following equipment is a plus:MazakMilltronicsDoosan 5-AxisWeiler
