Job description
CNC Set-Up Operator_ Avon LakeWestern Enterprises, part of the Marmon Plumbing & Refrigeration Group, deliver quality-driven solutions across industries. Join a collaborative environment where professional growth and skill development are encouraged.• Set up, adjust, and edit CNC programs for lathes, Swiss machines, and milling machines.• Use shop packages including manufacturing orders, routings, and blueprints to perform setups.• Install and secure tooling; set and adjust speeds and feed rates.• Operate CNC machines and monitor production to ensure quality and efficiency.• Inspect first-run and in-process parts to ensure compliance with specifications.• Perform and document in-process inspections and quality checks.• Replace worn tools and ensure gauges and instruments are within calibration.• Support multiple machine operations simultaneously as required.• Complete production documentation accurately and on time.• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment.• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.• Minimum 2 years of CNC machining/setup experience.• High school diploma or GED required.• Knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and machining processes.• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions.• Strong math skills (including fractions and decimals).• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).• Basic computer skills.• Strong attention to detail, safety, and teamwork.• Weekly pay• 401(k)• Health, dental, and vision insurance• HSA/FSA benefits• Life insuranceFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
