Job description
What You'll Do As a CNC Machinist, you'll:
Independently set up, operate, and program CNC machining centers
Produce complex precision-machined components from setup through final operation
Set tooling, establish work offsets, verify programs, and make machining adjustments as needed
Inspect parts throughout the machining process using precision measuring equipment
Monitor cutting conditions and optimize machining performance
Machine a variety of materials, including specialty and exotic alloys
Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
Maintain equipment and keep an organized, safe work area
Collaborate with Programmers, Engineers, and Production to ensure quality and efficiency
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
Five or more years of CNC machining experience
Experience setting up and operating complex CNC machining centers
Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
Strong math and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Technical degree or apprenticeship in Precision Machining
Experience with low volume production and multiple job set-ups
Experience machining high-precision components
Ability to program and operate 5-axis CNC equipment is a plus
Mastercam software experience is a plus
