CNC Setup & Shop AssistantReports to: CNC ManagerSupervisory responsibilities: None.Summary/objective: Specialty Tooling Systems (STS) is seeking CNC Setup & Shop Assistants to join their team! The responsibilities will include working with an STS Machinist in setting up jobs - including preparing the machine for operation. When not setting up, you will be assigned general shop duties.Essential functions:Under the direction of a CNC Machinist, prepare the machine and set up the jobsInspect finished products for quality and adherence to specificationsPerform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performanceAssist in general shop duties when no setup tasks are assignedKeep work area clean.Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management.Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours.Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required.Required competency, education, and experience:Experience as a CNC Setup personCandidate must have high school or equivalent education.Candidate must have valid driver's licenseWork environment: Manufacturing environmentPhysical demands:Candidate must have full use of all limbs.Candidate must be able to read and speak English.Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.Position type and expected hours of work: Full time. Day and night shift available.
