CNC Setup Technician – 2nd ShiftGastonia, North CarolinaJob Title: CNC Setup Technician – 2nd ShiftEmployment Type: Full-TimeLocation: Gastonia, NCPay: Starting at $25.00+ per hour (Based on Experience)Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AMOvertime: Must be available to work Fridays as production needs dictate.Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup Technician to join our manufacturing team in Gastonia, NC. This position is responsible for setting up CNC machines, installing tooling and fixtures, performing first-piece inspections, and ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong machining knowledge, excellent blueprint reading skills, and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Set up and prepare CNC machines for production runsInstall tooling, fixtures, offsets, and machine programs according to work instructionsRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specificationsPerform first-piece inspections and make machine adjustments as necessaryMonitor machine performance to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivityTroubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actionsInspect finished parts using precision measuring instrumentsMaintain accurate setup documentation and production recordsKeep work areas clean, organized, and safeFollow all company safety policies and quality proceduresAssist with additional machining and production duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years of CNC setup experienceStrong knowledge of G-code and CNC machine operationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsProficient with precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measuresStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsExcellent attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentMust be available to work overtime on Fridays as production requiresPreferred Qualifications:Experience setting up CNC mills and/or CNC lathesKnowledge of tooling selection, offsets, and machine optimizationExperience performing first-piece inspections and quality verificationManufacturing or machining certification is a plusCore Competencies CNC Setup • CNC Machining • G-Code • Blueprint Reading • Tooling & Fixtures • Machine Offsets • Precision Measuring • Calipers • Micrometers • Quality Inspection • Manufacturing • Troubleshooting • Safety Compliance • Attention to DetailWhy Join Our Team?Competitive Starting Pay: $25.00+ per hour based on experienceConsistent Four-Day Work WeekOvertime OpportunitiesStable and Growing Manufacturing EnvironmentSupportive Team CultureOpportunities for Career Growth and Advancement
