CNC Swiss Machine OperatorRequired Skills & Experience: 2+ years of CNC lathe or Swiss machining experience. Experience operating CNC machines in a production manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints. Experience utilizing precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges. Understanding of offsets, tooling, insert changes, and basic machine adjustments. Experience performing first article and in-process inspections. Ability to troubleshoot minor machine and quality issues. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Ability to maintain accurate production and inspection documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes.Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Experience operating Citizen Swiss machines. Experience with Swiss-style machines such as Star, Tsugami, Hanwha, Nomura, or Tornos. Machine setup experience including tooling changes and machine preparation. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Experience within aerospace, medical device, defense, or other high-precision manufacturing environments. Ability to optimize machining processes and improve cycle times. Experience working in ISO-certified manufacturing environments.Job Description: An Insight Global customer in the precision manufacturing industry is seeking to hire a CNC Swiss Machine Operator on a direct hire basis. This individual will be responsible for operating Citizen Swiss-style CNC lathes in a high-volume, precision machining environment. Daily responsibilities will include loading materials, monitoring machine performance, making offsets, adjusting tooling, performing tool changes, conducting inspections, and ensuring all products meet quality and production standards.This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machining fundamentals, blueprint reading, and precision measurement techniques. The ideal candidate will be able to troubleshoot minor machine and quality issues, complete first article and in-process inspections, and maintain accurate production documentation. Candidates with experience operating Citizen Swiss machines are highly preferred, though experience on comparable Swiss-style platforms will also be considered.Compensation will vary based on experience, education, and overall qualifications.
