CNC Swiss Machinist – 2nd ShiftLocation: New Britain, CTPosition: Contract-to-PermSchedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–11:30 PMPay: $24–$36/hour, based on experiencePosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC Swiss machines. The ideal candidate will also be able to improve existing programs and maintain high-quality production standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram, set up, and operate CNC Swiss machines, including Tsugami, Star, and CitizenSet and change tooling and understand fixturing and work holdingRead and interpret blueprints, prints, and work instructionsPerform first-piece and in-process inspectionsUse precision measuring and gauging equipmentTroubleshoot machining and production issuesMaintain quality standards for assigned machinesTrain and assist operators as neededPerform 5S and maintain a clean, organized work areaFollow all safety proceduresParticipate in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing activitiesQualifications5+ years of CNC setup experience preferredCNC Swiss programming and setup experienceKnowledge of feeds and speedsExperience with aluminum, brass, Ledloy, and various stainless steelsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to read prints and work independentlyComputer literacyAbility to make sound decisions and take responsibilityStrong teamwork and communication skillsUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing conceptsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionallyAbility to stand and walk frequentlyAbility to use hands for tooling and machine setupGood close vision and depth perceptionBenefits & PerksIn-house CNC programming training100% reimbursement for approved outside coursesOpportunities for career growth and advancementPaid lunch breakPaid vacation and sick time10 paid holidays401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-sponsored life insuranceAdditional voluntary insurance optionsThis is a great contract-to-permanent opportunity for an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist looking for long-term growth on 2nd shift.
