Co Op - Manufacturing EngineeringAs Manufacturing Engineer Co-op/Intern, you will support our Manufacturing, Design, and Engineering Teams in our world-class facility. On any given day, you will make a difference by:Assist manufacturing with implementation of safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvementsDesign fixtures, carts, and toolingResearch and justify new capital equipment using A3 methodologyCreate methods for standard work proceduresParticipate in Rapid Improvement (Kaizen) eventsRecognize and help with problem solving effortsAssist with preventative maintenance proceduresWork with design engineers to implement design changesWhat will help you thrive in this role?Pursuing a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or related field. 2nd year + preferredBasics of manufacturing processes such as welding, metal cutting & forming, painting, assembly and serviceabilityUtilization of Lean Manufacturing concepts3D modeling experience with AutoCAD or Creo is a plusMechanical/construction aptitude and hands-on design a plusExperience in fixture design (part specific tables and tools to help with manufacturing practices)Background in 3D printing is a plusHubbell Incorporated creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
